Every year Kuti extends the opportunity for applications of interns. Two interns are brought in on an annual basis, starting every July, with application opening in March/April. Interns are not required to pay Kuti for their stay, only to provide travel costs to Lilongwe, Malawi, any necessary visas and their food requirements during their time at the park (Kuti provides airport transport). In return the interns gain experience in an assistant manager position, helping with the day to day running of the park.
