Kuti Project: The animals
Since WPHAM took over the
ranch animals like giraffe, zebra, nyala, sable, impala, warthog and
ostrich have been introduced to the park. Naturally occurring
animals such as kudu, duiker, bushbuck, genet cats, civet cats, bush
pig and numerous bird species have multiplied in the protected
environment. There are plans to continue bringing animals into the
park in the future as long as funds allow.
Kuti also is home to three camels: Mphatso, Nguva and Diesel. They were brought into the park in May 2009 to provide our visitors with a unique safari opportunity – Camel Safari. There aren’t too many reserves where you can view animals from the back of a camel! ››
